Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Hoist. By creating a page, joining the waitlist, or otherwise using the service, you agree to them.

Your account and handle

You are responsible for the content on your page and for keeping your login secure. Handles are claimed, not owned by default. Claiming and verifying a handle confirms it is yours; we may reclaim handles that impersonate others, infringe rights, or are used in bad faith.

Acceptable use

• Do not post unlawful, deceptive, infringing, or harmful content.
• Do not impersonate people or brands you are not authorised to represent.
• Do not attempt to break, overload, or abuse the service or its verification checks.

Verification

Verification confirms control of a connected account at the time of the check. It is not an endorsement by Hoist, and it can be removed if a connection is revoked or the account changes hands.

Affiliate links

Pages may contain affiliate links. Where they do, the creator or Hoist may earn a commission on purchases at no extra cost to you. Product prices and availability are set by the destination retailer, not by us.

Content and ownership

You keep ownership of the content you add. You grant Hoist the licence needed to host and display it as part of the service. You can remove your content at any time.

Availability and changes

Hoist is provided on an "as is" basis while we build it out. We may change or discontinue features, and we may update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Hoist is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the content, products, or conduct of third parties reached through links on the service.
